BREAKING DOWN CRUISE PRICES

PRICES MAY CHANGE - Wait…what?

Booking your cruise with 42nd Street Cruises is much like booking a cruise on your own. The prices you see one day may go up or down until you actually book your room and make your deposit. This is called “booking at market rate.” The advantage of booking at market rate is the Lead Guest of each stateroom will have the flexibility to choose from all available staterooms on the ship, not just from a few staterooms we are holding at a set rate. Once a deposit is made, your prices will not change unless you add or remove guests from your stateroom.

What are the per-person rates listed in this cruise site?

The rates listed on the "Pricing and Inclusions" page are the exact “starting from” rates you would have seen listed on the cruise line’s website on the date this site was created. We list these so you can see the exact same rates here as you would see if you visited the cruise line’s website. Keep in mind, these rates can (and often do) change before your booking call.

The Rates Explained

  • “1st & 2nd Guests starting from” - This is lowest rate either the first OR second guest starts from (whichever is lowest) in the least expensive Interior, Ocean View, Balcony or Suite. This rate does not include the “port taxes & fees” which are listed below the rates, or the “onboard gratuities” which will be paid to the cruise line onboard the ship. Current minimum rates are $18.00 per-person/per-day for standard staterooms and $20.50 per-person/per-day for suites.
  • "3rd & 4th Guests starting from” - This is lowest rate either the third OR fourth guest starts from (whichever is lowest) in the least expensive Interior, Ocean View, Balcony or Suite. This rate does not include the “port taxes & fees” which are listed below the rates, or the “onboard gratuities” which will be paid to the cruise line onboard the ship. Current minimum rates are $18.00 per-person/per-day for standard staterooms and $20.50 per-person/per-day for suites.
  • “Single Guests starting from” - This is lowest rate a single guest starts from in the least expensive Interior, Ocean View, Balcony or Suite. This rate does not include the “port taxes & fees” which are listed below the rates, or the “onboard gratuities” which will be paid to the cruise line onboard the ship. Current minimum rates are $18.00 per-person/per-day for standard staterooms and $20.50 per-person/per-day for suites.

Why are the rates different for each person in the stateroom? (This is where 42nd Street Cruises gives away the cruise line’s advertising secrets.)

This is a great question, and we wish we had a great answer. The short answer is because the cruise line wants to show you the lowest rate. And giving different rates for each guest allows the cruise line to advertise a very low “starting from” rate. But please keep in mind, the “starting from rate” in any category is usually not the rate all guests will receive. It is the lowest rate available, therefore it is the only one advertised by the cruise line.
